renovation and interior design
Subtle changes. Big difference.
This was not the typical gut-the-apartment renovation. Instead, a great relationship developed with the client who has a passion for interior design and DIY. So we managed to bring a whole new living space alive with a few, subtle changes. Every room has a color theme, and every detail follows that theme and gives warmth to the entire flat. The color scheme in the kitchen is grey-green and everything flowery, complemented by a butcher’s block counter top and a classic wooden table and chairs.
Everyday objects made beautiful
A small but functional work area is part of the sunny living room, with plants and an original Olivetti typewriter. A great space for good ideas! For the hallway, I picked a calming blue-grey background for the artwork displayed. The original gas tube is highlighted as a peculiarity, not hidden, and is perfectly in keeping with the tone of the renovation: make beautiful what is already present. „Everyday objects made beautiful“ – one of the principles of interior design.
Daniela’s Insider tip for this neighborhood: The Puccini Theater
In the outskirts of Florence, the neighborhood takes the name of the Puccini Theater, a beautiful example of Florentine rationalist architecture. Next to the theater, where you can catch a great show, there is the ex–tobacco plant, now transformed into an uber-cool art space with restaurants, cafes, and even designer homes. Definitely an up-and-coming neighborhood worth exploring!
